multidec®-5000

With multidec®-5000, UTILIS offers a range of outstanding high-performance cutting-off tools that are designed for use on sliding headstock lathes. The four available chip breaker stages are designed to fulfil the highest requirements for efficient production, even in materials that are difficult to machine.

In addition to standard holders without internal cooling, all holders in the multidec®-5000 series are available as variants with chip and flank cooling. Thanks to the targeted cooling and high pressure, the chip can be quickly and safely guided away from the cutting edge. At the same time, the cutting edge is cooled efficiently, which significantly increases the tool life and enables higher cutting values.

MOUNTING OPTIONS

The clamping screw can be mounted either from above or from below, which allows easy access for changing the insert depending on the machine configuration.

TARGETED COOLING

Cooling is targeted at both the chip-free zone and the clearance surface, to deliver the coolant precisely to the cutting edge.

Even with very small diameters, the clearance surface cooling precisely hits the cutting edge. This increases the tool life by up to 150%.

MULTIDEC®-5000 CUT-OFF TOOL WITH INTERNAL COOLING “IC+” (IC-PLUS)

All holders have five connection options for the coolant supply from outside. An additional connection enables a direct coolant supply in combination with a multidec®-LUB tool plate.

 

 

COOLANT SUPPLY WITHOUT CUMBERSOME CONNECTIONS AND HOSES

If the multidec®-5000 cutting-off tool is combined with a multidec®-LUB tool plate, all coolant distributors and hoses are eliminated.
The coolant is supplied from the multidec® LUB tool plate via the multidec®-LUB clamping wedge directly onto the multidec®-5000 cut-off tool .
